Drone Services
Mapping & Photogrammetry
- Aerial collection of images which are combined into a single orthophoto that is geo-corrected to allow accurate 2D measurements.
- Orthophotos can be combined with additional linework (CAD or PDF) to create up-to-date maps of project sites and surrounding areas.
Construction Progress Monitoring
- Data is collected throughout construction to monitor overall construction progress. Data can be individual photos or videos, as well as high-resolution orthophotos that can capture the entire project site in a single image.
- This data allows for verification of work performed to date, highlights potential issues, and provides as-builts for closeout documentation, pay app confirmation, and revenue recognition.
Volume Analysis & 3D Modeling
- The creation of digital surface models (DSM), terrain models (DTM), and elevation models (DEM) allows for volume analysis and the creation of topographic models.
- Earthwork analysis using industry-standard software can be performed before, during, and after project construction. When this data is combined with geotechnical information CrestCura can provide estimated earthwork quantities with respect to import/export, ground loss, subsidence, and material swelling or shrinkage during excavation/compaction operations.
- High-resolution 3D models for exploration and inspection purposes (digital twins).
Environmental Management Support
- Documentation of force majeure events. Environmental monitoring of flora and fauna and vegetation limits and encroachment.
Solar, Wind & Substation Inspection (Thermal and Visual)
- A combination of thermal (IR) and high-resolution visual (RGB) camera payloads allow faster inspection time with the ability to identify both electrical and physical defects. Capture of both thermal and visible images reduces the potential for error.
- Thermal inspections can detect faulty panels, wiring/string defects, and improperly connected panels.
- Large solar farms can be inspected in a matter of days, not weeks. This includes both visual inspections and thermal inspections.
- Wind and substation inspections can identify overheating components, stress cracks in turbine blades, and verification of installed components.
- Aerial inspection using radiometric thermal cameras can provide large scale temperature analysis to identify potential issues in structures, electrical components and systems, high voltage powerlines, subsurface erosion/water.
Asset Tracking
- Aerial image collection allows for asset tracking across large scale project sites. Flights can be performed daily/weekly to monitor both inventory and construction equipment movement and location onsite.
Aerial Photography & Videography
- High resolution imagery and video for marketing and documentation purposes.
- Color balanced photos and graded 4K video available for marketing purposes.
